An archetypical urban redevelopment project: following an initial uphill struggle against demolition, this small-scale infill using such traditional building methods as mansard roofs was realized with local participation, with even a dedication stone for its architects. Very deep units project from within a dense block of back-to-back dwellings, with a light court in the centre. A number of alleyways dissect the block. Facades with bay windows and conservatories fit well with the surrounding warehouses.
