Office buildings

The office complex housing the Chamber of Commerce and the St Servatius Building Association has a collegial air about it. Built to a general concept by Jo Coenen, the scheme was fleshed out by two architectural practices. Coenen's own firm is responsible for the slender white-rendered block standing on round columns along the water; the darker volume is the work of AWG Architecten. Set square to one another, the two blocks sit atop a monumental raked plinth. A mezzanine floor suspended in the double-height glass basement of the white-rendered block affords a fine view across the River Maas from the managerial suite.
