Paleiskwartier is a new district built at the rear of the railway station. Besides the Palace of Justice that give the district its name, there are educational institutions, offices and housing. Three gateways offer access to a rectangular courtyard, below which is a parking facility reached by pedestrians via two turret-like features, one octagonal and the other square. Offices predominate in the classicist portions around the courtyard and in the tall main block. The courtrooms and the main reception area sit behind a glazed facade and below a roof of concrete and glass barrel vaults borne aloft by concrete columns of unusual design.
