Two five-storey office wings meet at right angles to enclose a square parking garage. The corner of this town hall is dominated by the circular council chamber also marking the main entrance. In each wing is a stair to all levels with the rear facade stepping down as counterbalance. The town hall has since been enlarged considerably by the same architect to keep up with the growth of Almere though deviating from the set-up as originally projected.
