Museums and exhibition buildings
A key factor when restoring the National Museum of Antiquities was to make room for a 2000-year old Egyptian temple. To this end the museum's courtyard was given a roof and an elegant, neutral finish. Four columns support the roof which is held clear of the walls by a strip of glass. Window openings in the existing walls of the courtyard have been glazed on alternate sides of the walls to bring out their depth.
