This urban housing block is located at the head of a new strip of live/work units accompanying the route to the
Science Park. The complex consists of a low-rise block with an inner courtyard above a parking facility and a tower marking the final stage in this new development. With a shunting yard in the vicinity, noise pollution was obviously a key issue. Acoustic requirements were met by enveloping the entire building in a second glass skin of individually tilted panels that produce a kaleidoscopic effect in the changing play of light. The dwellings themselves are entered from the courtyard on the first floor. Facades on the courtyard side alternate wood elements with large areas of glass.
