Here an existing small rectangular building has been extended with a modest lens-shaped tower in three levels. This volume, whose form suggests the bows of a ship, has timber frame facades with ribbed aluminium facing. The small tower's concrete floors are borne aloft by a steel skeleton. A spiral stair, also of concrete, links the entrance below the tower to the two office floors above. From here a panoramic strip window with a shading device of aluminium slats offers a prospect of the water. The inner walls are of clear-finished multi-ply panels recalling the interiors of inland craft.
