This modest block of four dwellings was built as a sequel to his
Erasmuslaan block and like the latter its design was originally in three levels. However in this case a lack of funds confined it to two, otherwise the composition is virtually the same. The bathroom is located halfway up the stairs; Rietveld would further elaborate this combination of utilities and stair in the 'core'-house principle.
