BUILDING TYPE:
Housing

This residential building has flats for people living alone and small families. Van Tijen had decided on reflection that the building type he had developed for the Bergpolderflat and Plaslaanflat was less suited to families with children. A number of rooms on the roof can be used as guest-rooms or as a temporary extension for the flats. The ground floor contains a communal garden bounded by a café, two shops, a day nursery and a garage. There are spaces beneath the block for storage and for washing and drying.
