Occupying a triangular site in the sub-area Terwijde of
Leidsche Rijn is this traffic-calmed neighbourhood of about 300 dwellings divided among a low-rise area and an apartment building. Just one access road, with no parking permitted along it, runs through the low-rise. The tall building sits atop a parking facility serving the entire neighbourhood. Apartments are laid out in two parallel strips on either side of a raised courtyard accessed by foot or bike up a concrete ramp. Spectacular aerial walkways tie the access galleries together. Five free-form openings with trees growing through them admit daylight into the underground car park.
